The sax was playing whilst sausages were being served to a queue of hungry men, as the ladies browsed the market stalls looking for hidden treasure. There was an air of excitement as friends stopped, chatted, and caught up with the local news. Kids were looking for tasty treats, while the tiny dogs with wagging tails got heaps of attention from new friends. It was great to see the centre buzz with activity after all the challenges of the pandemic.
The shopping village looks smart after a recent makeover of fresh paint and new signage to reinvigorate and create a more customer-friendly shopping environment. Now with all the tenancies full, there is something for everyone. From Fashion, Jewellery and Accessories at Attractions, fresh veggies and fruit from the Banksia Fruit & Juice Barn, meat and deli items from Avondale Meat, hair styling from Cuts, Colours and Curls, and bakery items including bread, coffee and sandwiches from the Bribie Island Bakehouse. If you need a feed, you can now enjoy Sushi at Sushi Lovers, takeaways from Sue’s Takeaway, or a great cup of coffee and cake at The Florist Café.
