Bribie Island Probus Club

If you would like to mingle with people of your own age, who have similar interests to yours, you might like to join one of Bribie Island’s premier social clubs.

The Probus Club of Bribie Island meets at the RSL at 9:00 am on the first Tuesday of each month for a couple of hours and is open to male and female members living on Bribie Island and surrounding districts. It is non-sectarian and non-political and is not a fund-raising organisation. The whole idea is to provide an environment where new friendships can be forged and to engage in fellowship whilst having a bit of fun doing so.

To achieve these objectives, each year the Club organises a number of BBQs, several special morning teas and outings to local points of interest. In addition, a slap-up Christmas Luncheon with entertainment is held each year in the RSL auditorium. Major recent activities have included visits to the GOMA Masters Exhibition (pictured), the Cross River Rail display and a tour of Brisbane’s City Hall. In April, we decided to check out the refurbished Bribie Island Hotel by organising a mid-week lunch there, which was very favourably received.

Dave Beatson (0408 453 086) or Gabrielle Bain (0407 341074) are only too happy to provide more information on the workings of the Club. Our website is also a goldmine of information, simply Google ‘Bribie Island Probus’ and follow the prompts.
