BEACHMERE SUPPORTS BIGGEST MORNING TEA

Recently, the Beachmere Hub was the venue for over 100 guests in aid of the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea.

Beachmere Area Network Group (BANG) hosted the event as a High Tea with tickets selling out well before the day.

BANG Committee Member, Mary Brown, said that previous High Tea events at the Hub had a great reputation, so a large turnout had been expected.

“We thought our High Tea would be well supported, but to have a sell out event so quickly was a great surprise. We were very grateful for all those who worked so hard to get things ready and all the wonderful volunteers on the day.  A special thanks to all the supporters and sponsors who donated raffle items and to Rebecca from local boutique ‘Seaweed & Sandals’ who organised the Fashion Parade. We raised nearly $4,000 and hope to make the High Tea an annual event,” Mary said.
