Upgrade link between Beachmere and the Bruce Highway! Additional funding promised by LNP Leader Deb

LNP has announced a $7 million upgrade of Beachmere Road should it win government on October 31st.

Deb Frecklington said “the $7 Million upgrade to Beachmere Road is part of the LNP’s announcement of a $1 Billion SEQ Congestion Busting Program”

“We will use infrastructure to stimulate the economy and drag Queensland out of recession by investing an extra $1 billion in New South-East Queensland road & rail projects”

“Our congestion-busting projects will directly employ 3100 Queenslanders, but the flow on economic effects will help to create a decade of secure jobs”

LNP Leader Deb Frecklington said the Beachmere Road investment will ensure vital road safety upgrades including widening of the road and secure local jobs.

“Beachmere Road has been neglected for far too long and it’s only the LNP that will prioritise these vital upgrades,” Ms Frecklington said.

“The $7 million funding will not only ensure local jobs, it will be an investment in the livelihoods of locals in the Beachmere area.

“Local residents have the right to feel safe on our roads, which is why upgrading Beachmere Road is a priority for our Pumicestone candidate Fiona Gaske and the LNP team.

The LNP candidate for Pumicestone Fiona Gaske said “she knows how vital these upgrades are to local residents.”

“For five years the Palaszczuk Labor Government has neglected to prioritise much needed upgrades to Beachmere Road,” Ms Gaske also said.

“With increased traffic flow, narrow sections and potholes, Beachmere Road is in an unacceptable and unsafe condition for local residents to drive on.

“Beachmere Road is a major connecting route for locals and it’s notorious for accidents and near misses.

“I’m proud to be part of a team that cares for every corner of the state.

“Only the LNP has the best plan to stimulate the economy and create a decade of secure jobs to drag Queensland out of this recession and I’m here for all people in the Pumicestone electorate.”
