Beachmere’s Sesquicentenary Celebration Gathers Community Support

Beachmere’s Sesquicentenary Committee continues to work towards celebrating Beachmere’s 150th birthday in events planned for May 2020.

Local community groups were recently invited to a meeting to learn more about the events planned, and how important it was to the Committee to include the entire community in the planning, organisation and production of the Celebration.

The History of Beachmere team are compiling a written legacy of Beachmere entitled Beachmere – Then and Now which will be launched at a Gala Book Launch.

Other events across a fun packed weekend include various Beach activities, a Bush Dance and a High Tea.

Representatives of the community groups were encouraged to participate in, or take ownership of, one of the outlined events or plan their own event celebrating and showcasing Beachmere’s Sesquicientenary and the community.

For more information about the Sesquicentenary celebrations email or call 0456 818 017.
